NAD is a Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a coenzyme form of B3 (also known as niacin), which functions as a hydrogen carrier for approximately 500 reactions that are essential to our body’s processes; from DNA repair to mitochondrial function, to immune function and inflammation modulators, to cell signaling to the generation of ATP (our bodies’ foremost energy currency).
NAD IV therapy/Injections has many benefits including increased energy, improved cognitive function, reduced inflammation, enhancement of cellular repair, and anti-aging effects. It is often used as a therapy for fatigue, mitochondria support, metabolic syndrome, and neurodegenerative disorders. It can also be used post-surgery to accelerate wound healing.
NAD requires multiple vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to be used by the cells, such as Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, B-vitamins, and amino acids like Proline and Glycine. Therefore, all our NAD IVs also include these vitamins and minerals to improve the body’s use of NAD.
Unlike with regular vitamin IVs, the NAD IV requires a slow drip (to patient tolerance) to prevent sensations of nausea, palpitations, chest pain, flushing, tremor, and anxiety. Consequently, NAD IV drips may last anywhere from 1 – 4 hours, depending on the dose and the patient’s tolerance level.
For this reason, we are now offering NAD Boost Injections, so patients can receive the benefits of NAD therapy without the time-commitment. Our NAD Boost injections contain 50mg of NAD, 1ml of B12, and 1ml of MIC.
The NAD IV takes longer than the typical vitamin IVs. It may take as little as 1 hour, and up to 4 hours depending on the dose and the individual’s response to the treatment. The frequency of NAD IV therapy will depend on your individual needs and goals.
Lower dosage of NAD in the injectable form will allow patients to receive NAD therapy with minimal discomfort and minimal time-commitment.
As with NAD IV therapy, NAD Boost injections are not suitable for everyone. At Spark Health, we offer a free initial clearance consultation with our doctors prior to beginning the therapy.
