We're excited to announce that Spark Health is now offering NAD IV Therapy! NAD is a coenzyme form of B3 (niacin), and is required for many cellular processes such as DNA repair, cell signaling, and the generation of ATP, which is what our cells use for energy.
NAD IV therapy has many benefits including increased energy, improved cognitive function, reduced inflammation, enhancement of cellular repair, and anti-aging effects. It is often used as a therapy for fatigue, mitochondria support, metabolic syndrome, and neurodegenerative disorders. It can also be used post-surgery to accelerate wound healing.
NAD requires multiple vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to be used by the cells, such as Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, B-vitamins, and amino acids like Proline and Glycine. Therefore, all our NAD IVs also include these vitamins and minerals to improve the body’s use of NAD.
The NAD IV takes longer than the typical vitamin IVs. It may take as little as 1 hour, and up to 4 hours depending on the dose and the individual’s response to the treatment. The frequency of NAD IV therapy will depend on your individual needs and goals.
It's important to note that NAD IV therapy is not suitable for everyone. It is important to consult with a qualified healthcare provider to determine if NAD IV therapy is safe and appropriate for you. Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or those with certain medical conditions such as liver disease, kidney disease, or a history of cancer, may not be able to receive NAD IV therapy.*

NAD IV therapy involves the infusion of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) directly into the bloodstream via an IV drip. NAD is a coenzyme form of B3, or niacin, and it is required for many cellular processes such as DNA repair, cell signaling, and the generation of ATP, which is what our cells use for energy.

Unlike regular vitamin IVs, you may feel some discomfort during the NAD IV drip. If dripped too quickly, you may experience nausea, palpitations, chest pain, flushing, tremors, or anxiety. These symptoms typically resolve if the drip rate is slowed down, but the IV may need to be discontinued if the side effects are severe. Like all IVs, there is a small risk of severe allergic reaction.

The frequency of NAD IV therapy will depend on your individual needs and goals. Some people receive NAD IV therapy once a week, while others may receive it several times a week, or less frequently.

There are NAD supplements available, and options to take precursors of NAD, which can increase your body’s natural production of NAD. Oral supplements can be a great option if you are not a candidate for NAD IV therapy, or if you want additional support between IVs.
