What is vaginal rejuvenation?

Vaginal rejuvenation uses radiofrequency (delivered to internal and external tissues through a temperature-controlled probe) to improve collagen, blood flow, tightness, and lubrication in the internal vagina and external vulvar area. This treatment can be used for vaginal atrophy, urinary incontinence, and strengthening the muscles, and can reduce pain and discomfort during intercourse. It can also be done for cosmetic reasons to alter the appearance of the external vulvar area.

Vaginal rejuvenation can be used to treat:

  • Vaginal laxity
  • Cosmetic appearance
  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Stress incontinence
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Painful intercourse
  • Overactive bladder

Vaginal rejuvenation can improve comfort and quality of life. Here are some reasons why women may want to have this treatment:

  • Urinary incontinence

Spark Health treatment procedure

Our procedure is simple and non-invasive. There is zero downtime and you may return to your daily activities following the treatment.

Radiofrequency Vaginal Rejuvenation

This is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency (RF) waves to generate gentle heat. This heat stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. As the tissues tighten, the area will feel plumper with enhanced elasticity. The treatment also improves blood flow, which increases lubrication.

Radiofrequency treatments are not painful. You will feel the movement and pressure of the device and a warm sensation.

Each session takes about 60 minutes. There is no downtime, and you can resume your usual routine right after.

You will see an immediate improvement, but you may need several sessions to achieve full results. On average, patients need about 1-3 sessions which are given over several months. However, this depends on your case and will be discussed at your initial consultation.

The process is painless. This is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment typically done on the vagina walls or the vulva. Most patients don't experience any discomfort during VR treatment.

Vaginal rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that is very low risk, especially when compared to alternatives like surgery. There is an extremely low risk of bleeding, infection, and scarring. RF vaginal rejuvenation is also safe on all skin types.

There is minimal to no downtime, and you can resume your usual routine right after the treatment. However, it is advised to abstain from sex for 24 hours after your treatment.

The cost of RF vaginal rejuvenation varies based on the number of sessions that you require. The number of treatment sessions will be determined during your initial consultation with our provider. You can schedule a consult to learn more about the procedure, benefits, and cost.

The skin may lose tightness over time, depending on how your body breaks down collagen. Some women may not require any maintenance treatments, while others may require a touch-up. You may need to come back for follow-up sessions once you feel that there is a change in tightness or sensation.

RF vaginal rejuvenation is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, if you have a pacemaker or defibrillator, or if you have a permanent implant in the area. If you have any current or history of cervical cancer, an impaired immune system, or a corn or gold allergy, you are not a candidate for RF vaginal rejuvenation.
